Tesla Motors Achieves Quarterly Objective

Tesla Motors meets its third quarter's goal of electric car deliveries.

Tesla Motors has successfully achieved one of its objectives. Even though the enterprise closed its manufacturing plant for seven days, it did not only meet its selling objective but also succeeded in making a new record. The year’s final quarter would really test the capacity of the automaker.
The Californian organization was able to sell 11,580 units of Model S and few of Model X automobiles in the year’s third quarter. The amount of delivery is according to the company’s previous guidance and represents the 49% increase from the same period last year.
Tesla News affirmed that it had anticipated supplying about the same number of vehicles it had sold in the previous quarter, which were 11,507. The CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, handed over six Model X automobiles at a garish event on September 29.
The high tech company stated that it expected to manufacture 12,000 cars in year’s third quarter, encompassing “a small number of Model X deliveries.” The company has not revealed the production figures for the third quarter.
Tesla News today exclaimed that up till now, the company has sold 33,117 automobiles. It is making efforts to supply 55,000 this year, two thirds greater than done in the previous year. Last month, it lowered its objective for the number of vehicles it would sell for the first year from 55,000 to account for then-potential supplying problems, as the manufacturing of the Model X SUV starts in the year’s fourth quarter.
Tesla Motors news revealed that during the year’s third quarter, the automobile manufacturer closed its factory in Fremont for a week. The closure addressed the preparation for the manufacturing of Model X, including the installation of new equipment. The automaker spent major part of 2015 in preparing its production facility to manage both Model X and S production, which has the potential to help it achieve its objective of selling 500,000 vehicles per annum by 2020.
Tesla would be having two body lines; the first one would be devoted to the Model S, while the other one would be for Model X. Once the vehicles go through their relevant body lines, they would merge and head off to be painted. Once completed, they would move to the general assembly where the two cars would be manufactured on the same line.
It is probable that Tesla’s achievement would play a significant role in enhancing its reputation in the highly competitive market and threaten the interests of its rivals. One could say that its workforce, investors, and other stakeholders would be appeased by its success, as it tends to serve their interests as well.
This boosted Tesla’s morale of establishing and achieving its targets, but the main challenge lies ahead in fourth quarter.
