Tesla CEO As Part Of SolarCity Allies With Companies To Pressurize Lawmakers

SolarCity partners with solar companies to pressurize lawmakers for safeguarding favored-status energy policies

Tesla CEO’s company SolarCity joined an alliance to safeguard its interests. Worried regarding self-preservation and taking action in its best interest – instead of customers specifically, and US generally – solar companies have joined to protect their favored-status power policies and launch an attack on everyone who does not agree with their incentive-payment business model.
The most important is TASC – which was established and financed by solar panel installers SunRun and the California based company with participation by smaller renewable energy companies (in recent times, CEO Elon Musk’s company separated from TASC).
The lead lobbyists of two huge companies manage ‘The Alliance for Solar Choice’ (TASC) – both are obviously connected to the Democratic Party: John Stanton and Bryan Miller. In the past, Hawaii and Nevada have ended their NEM programs. TASC has given a response by filing lawsuits.
In Hawaii, case filed by TASC has previously been rejected with a report saying that that the US judge’s “ruling in favor of the Defendants has eviscerated TASC’s claims.” In 2015, Louisiana capped its “among the most generous in the country” solar tax credit. Arizona Public Service played the role of a trailblazer in amending generous renewable energy policies when, three years ago, a fixed charge was approved by Arizona Corporation Commission for renewable energy consumers.
The reoccurring idea behind the launched campaign is to develop a connection between the word “solar” and “kill” though the efforts made to do net-energy metering modification do not aim to eliminate the renewable energy. Rather, they intend to adjust the “incentive payments” to turn them into more equitable in nature, rooftop renewable power sector is not economical at its own.
Companies decline to play the game when it is not stacked to favor them. The Alliance is amongst many of those, which call the rooftop solar sector as a “coalition of rent seekers and welfare queens,” as the biggest conservative blog of the Louisiana- is making efforts to safeguard its preferential policies.
It can play other tricks as well. Apart from the specific alliances, third-party organizations such as the Energy and Policy Institute (EPI) are working to threaten academic and public officials. Supposedly, it can be an expansion of so-called Checks & Balances Project (CB&P), which is established to investigate policy makers and organizations that do not provide support to subsidies and government programs for renewable power.
In 2011, Elsner joined CB&P where he used to serve as a director and then left to set up EPI two years later, referred to as “a pro-clean energy website” by CB&P. The policy shielding procedure may look different from the ones used by any other industry as majority of those have advocacy groups and trade associations taking their cause ahead.
With possibility of political changes – remember that every solar supporter is leftist, big supporters of government, who are interested in higher power prices – the campaign for the power future of US is concerned with presidential election.

Tesla Leads Canadian Electric Automobile Market With Model S

Sales of Tesla Motors are greater than that of any other electric vehicle maker in Canada.

Tesla Motors is growing in Canada. The dominance of American electric vehicle maker in the plugin electric vehicle market seems to be assured, if the deliveries it made in the quarters ended in March, September and June were 242, 255 and 250. Those have proved to be the three highest sales on a monthly basis for every plugin electric automobile in the US neighborhood, and the company delivered 150% more automobiles across the globe in the 4th quarter as in its past best quarter.
With registration of 104 Tesla vehicles in November – its ninth consecutive 3 digit sales month, the company only needs 214 deliveries in December to reach 2000 for the year. That will improve the past-best yearly sales of plug-in automobiles in Canada, totally by around 33.33%, Chevy sold 1521 Volts two years ago.
Even surpassed by its California based cousin, Chevy Volt succeeded with an exceptional December with 220 vehicles sold. That figure slightly increased from 172 in November, and only 2 less than its best month in Canada (April 2014), when oil was sold for $104 per barrel.
The performance is all very impressive provided that December has consistently proved to be the third most sluggish month of 2015 for automotive sales in the North American country, beating only February and January.
In 2015, Chevrolet succeeded in selling 1426 Volts in Canada. That is slightly down from 1521 deliveries in 2014, but it is an excellent result, assuming the efficiency of fuel does not bother consumers.
In the meantime, Nissan Leaf has continued at a steady pace, not affected by the sluggish sales in 2015 witnessed in the U.S. 122 deliveries in December were the eighth time in 9 months it made 3-digits sales and almost same as the monthly sales of 121 vehicles during that period of time. Sales increased for the fourth consecutive year, as it reached 1233 deliveries from 1085 deliveries made in 2014.
Bayerische Motoren Werke delivered 46 i-series automobiles in December. Whereas the split between the sales of i8 sport coupes and i3 hatchbacks would be unavailable until the registration of vehicles, the i3 seems to have delivered 360 to 380 automobiles in 2015 (up from 199 in 2014) with the addition of 200 i8 vehicles sold.
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV delivered 11 vehicles in December, well for 121 units in the year, arresting a 2-year decline in sales and six more automobiles than the 115 units delivered in the United States past year. While the improved kei car has loyal enthusiasts and fans, the subcompact has proved to be as undersized for roads in North America as the Ford F-150 has been over sized for streets in Japan.

Tesla Model S Becomes America Second Most Sold Green Vehicle

Tesla's Model S has succeeded in taking the second position as far the sales volume of green cars in the U.S. is concerned.

Tesla Motors is dominating the U.S. environment-friendly vehicle market. Last month, it sold a projected 3000 Model S cars and amongst alternative energy automobiles, the Toyota Prius succeeded in surpassing it. Almost 8287 units of Prius were sold, but apart from the Japanese carmaker’s excellent performer, no regular hybrid or plug in was able to go ahead of the electric automaker’s luxurious performance electric car.
Tesla news affirmed that sales have been estimated for the South African born entrepreneur’s business, therefore mildly varying estimations are reported for Tesla’s Model S, but the largest economy’s next best-powered car was the Prius C hybrid with sale of 2601 units in November. With Volkswagen AG troubled by the diesel controversy, its vehicles such as the Jetti TDI , which could have been sold in a competitive manner, were not offered, and the electric carmaker was easily able to take the second position amongst all alternate energy passenger cars.
It is necessary to repeat that Model S car is a concept provided its price from middle 70s to duple that and the results of November constitute the most recent feather in the cap for the vehicle that is already ranked 1st this year amongst plug-in powered automobiles.
Tesla news today exclaimed that the automaker’s 3100 or so United States sales in November were able to go ahead of the two other electric cars in American’s top three. The second overall for the year was Nissan Leaf with sales of 1054 units in November. Chevy Volt was the third most sold electric fuelled car for the year with sales of 1980 units.
The Volt and Leaf have gone considerably down yearly – the former has gone down by 23.3% while the latter has gone down by 41.2%. Tesla’s Model S position has improved by a projected 56.3%. Up till November this year, Model S has jumped with sale of 22,900 units. The previous first position was taken by Leaf with sale of 15,922 units through November and Volt has sold 13,279 units – though it is speeding up now with generation 2 2016 versions being offered in 11 states of the US.
The sales of nearer to mainstream priced Volt and Leaf were able to hobble in part as revised version were projected. Leaf a 30KW hour battery upgrade, and Volt a completely revised model, while the company has continued to update the Model S.
Tesla Motors news affirmed that the Model S was introduced in the middle part of 2012, the Volt and Leaf were launched in the later part of 2010, but since then Tesla has introduced Autopilot, all-wheel-drive, and highly fast “ludicrous” and “insane” speed alternatives, along with other updates. This news was a treat to the management.

Tesla Motors Appoints New Senior Vice President To Lead Sales

Tesla Motors hired a new vice president for its North American sales.
The American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors has appointed a new sales head. Tesla news reported that the automaker has recruited an ex-executive, Ganesh Srivats, of the British fashion house, Burberry, as its senior vice president (SVP) of North American sales, a step indicating that CEO Elon Musk intends to expand the Californian business’s retail operations.
Since 2009, Mr. Ganesh has held retail and strategy position for the fashion firm and was recently working as its senior vice president for retail in the Americas. Tesla news today disclosed that the organization’s selling strategy differs from others, who benefit from the services of independent dealerships, as it relies on unconventional advertising schemes and internet-based selling mechanisms.
Tesla is also known for owning its retail network. A professor of marketing at New York’s Stern School of Business has welcomed the development, as he exclaimed that this makes all sense in the world. He added that the South African born entrepreneur’s company is not a vehicle manufacturing organization, but a luxury firm.
The electric vehicle pioneer’s recent decision should not surprise the stakeholders of the high-tech world, as it had previously proclaimed to recruitment new executives to head its regional sales operations. Press sources stated that CEO of the Luxury Institute, Milton Padraza, has stated that Mr. Ganesh introduces a customer center approach for businesses. He added that it is about long-term relations.
Burberry dominates the field of developing client relationships. Tesla Motors news informed that the smartphone manufacturer, Apple, previously took a similar decision when it appointed the fashion company’s CEO, Angela Ahrendts, as head of its sales operations in 2013.
Tesla has recently stated that it intends to sell 500,000 cars by 2020, according to official sources, and it is about to introduce its Model X. Industry experts are of the view that the decision has been taken to help it to achieve its sales-related objective, as Srivats is an experienced marketing professional who has contributed to the capacity of the European organization.
It is probable that the appointment of the new executive would send a threatening message to its rivals, who might be forced to follow its footsteps. The entrance of the former Burberry SVP in the company might improve the motivation levels of its sales team, which can learn from the achievements of the entrant.
The management of the organization should now introduce the marketing strategy to the newly recruited official and try to utilize his marketing potential in the best possible manner to benefit from his qualifications and expertise. It should also refrain from repeating the similar mistakes, which has caused challenges and problems to the company, e.g. withdrawal of defected cars from the market. However, Mr. Musk seems positive about the future.
