Tesla Model S Becomes America Second Most Sold Green Vehicle

Tesla's Model S has succeeded in taking the second position as far the sales volume of green cars in the U.S. is concerned.

Tesla Motors is dominating the U.S. environment-friendly vehicle market. Last month, it sold a projected 3000 Model S cars and amongst alternative energy automobiles, the Toyota Prius succeeded in surpassing it. Almost 8287 units of Prius were sold, but apart from the Japanese carmaker’s excellent performer, no regular hybrid or plug in was able to go ahead of the electric automaker’s luxurious performance electric car.
Tesla news affirmed that sales have been estimated for the South African born entrepreneur’s business, therefore mildly varying estimations are reported for Tesla’s Model S, but the largest economy’s next best-powered car was the Prius C hybrid with sale of 2601 units in November. With Volkswagen AG troubled by the diesel controversy, its vehicles such as the Jetti TDI , which could have been sold in a competitive manner, were not offered, and the electric carmaker was easily able to take the second position amongst all alternate energy passenger cars.
It is necessary to repeat that Model S car is a concept provided its price from middle 70s to duple that and the results of November constitute the most recent feather in the cap for the vehicle that is already ranked 1st this year amongst plug-in powered automobiles.
Tesla news today exclaimed that the automaker’s 3100 or so United States sales in November were able to go ahead of the two other electric cars in American’s top three. The second overall for the year was Nissan Leaf with sales of 1054 units in November. Chevy Volt was the third most sold electric fuelled car for the year with sales of 1980 units.
The Volt and Leaf have gone considerably down yearly – the former has gone down by 23.3% while the latter has gone down by 41.2%. Tesla’s Model S position has improved by a projected 56.3%. Up till November this year, Model S has jumped with sale of 22,900 units. The previous first position was taken by Leaf with sale of 15,922 units through November and Volt has sold 13,279 units – though it is speeding up now with generation 2 2016 versions being offered in 11 states of the US.
The sales of nearer to mainstream priced Volt and Leaf were able to hobble in part as revised version were projected. Leaf a 30KW hour battery upgrade, and Volt a completely revised model, while the company has continued to update the Model S.
Tesla Motors news affirmed that the Model S was introduced in the middle part of 2012, the Volt and Leaf were launched in the later part of 2010, but since then Tesla has introduced Autopilot, all-wheel-drive, and highly fast “ludicrous” and “insane” speed alternatives, along with other updates. This news was a treat to the management.
