Dell aims to invest in the startups of India. As per reports of Economic Times, the computer maker’s $300 million venture fund division intends to make an investment in the ecosystem of Indian startups, as it seems to grow in the South Asian market. The official announcement is anticipated in few months.
Recently after privatizing, the Texas-based organization announced a fund known as Strategic Innovation fund two years ago. Dell news affirmed the organization would be supporting startups, which are developing disruptive solutions using futuristic technologies. In addition, it is also finding startups that have grown from an initial stage.
The company is known for investing with other strategic investors and venture capitalists. It is able to act as a resource and board advisor for the enterprises. Those resources may be technological, market strategy assistance, or business counsel. Dell drivers informed that the company’s president of Asia Pacific and Japan, Amit Midha, stated, "We're investing to innovate in India, to innovate in Asia, to create an outreaching ecosystem in Asia which is different. We announced Dell Ventures in China, we announced a $125-million investment in China, and we've also announced a continued expansion in India, from a 27,000-people perspective. What we are interested in is furthering our strategy in India.”
Amit also stated that the fund division would not be ready for making essential fiscal investments with its startups in Asia but open as far as strategic collaborations are concerned, referring to an example of the company’s recent collaboration with the Indian mobile advertisement startup InMobi in September, when Michael Dell flew to India to have a meeting with local startups for a short period of time.

Qualcomm Promotes Amon As The President Of Chip Division

Ford Invests $900 Million in Sharonville Plant

Ford Motors Company might invest $900 million in its Sharonville plant’s future operations.
